The children have been working hard in preparation for our DT afternoon on Friday.
Children have been thinking about what they will need to build their invention prototype. They are also in the process of creating step by step instructions.
See you on Friday at 1.45pm.
Today Class 6 have been learning to recite and perform a poem about Fireworks.
The children worked hard to use loud clear voices and expression.
BANG! There goes another one,
Screaming as it goes.
It’s getting high,
Up in the sky,
And fizzle – there she blows!
WHOOSH! Up high above the house,
Behind a trail of sparks.
Red and white,
Exploding in the dark!
Today Class 6 have been identifying and naming different coins.
This afternoon the Year 1 children had a great time exploring and investigating old toys from the visiting museum.
Thank you to the parents who volunteered.
Yesterday morning all of class 6 went to super Forest Schools. We went in old clothes we no longer wear. Gabrielle, Daniel and Star’s wonderful Mummies helped. We went to the sunny Memorial Park. We asked the forest if we could come in. Mr Ashman was asleep when we got there. Whilst sitting in a circle we passed the stick and said our Forest name. In our groups we lifted up a stick using only one finger that we couldn’t bend. We made base camps in our groups. We used sticks, covers, grass, ribbons and a teddy bear to make a base. To wash our hands we used a bowl and a cup to pour the water in, it dripped out of the bottom so our hands got clean. We shook our hands to dry them and we had snack in our base. Soon it was time to tidy up and go back to school.
